Your argument might hold water if he started off like a gangbuster and slumped as the season wore on, but the exact opposite happened. Then he continued to feast on opposing pitchers in the playoffs (1.155OPS). If that's slowing down, everyone else in baseball must be in reverse.

I'm talking lifetime not season. St Louis had his best years, sad to see him go but with the money and time being offered it's still a good decision for him and St Louis.

No doubt that contract will outpace him. Personally, I don't get the move by the Angels. Maybe they think Pujols is worth another half dozen games and that'll be enough to contend for the West and/or Wildcard. I wouldn't be surprised if he played a third of the season at DH this year.
