Stopped at Binnys today to see if the new Goose Island had been released yet. Nope...but I couldn't leave empty handed.

Avery Mephistopheles Stout x 4
Founders Breakfast Stout x 4
Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout
Central Waters Brewhouse Coffee Stout

16.8% ABV, my beer guy at Binnys dared me to drink two in a half hour.

Challenge accepted

I've done 2 Mephistopheles in a row...it was something f*cking awesome x2

They were 2007's too

First aged stout I've had the chance to sample, MUCH better than a fresh bottle.

2x 120 Minute IPA's was worse

Fresh Ruination is very good. An expensive double ipa, but one of my favorites from Stone

$6 for the big bottle, didn't figure it to be too expensive.

I've paid around $17 for a six pack. I guess buying a bomber isn't too bad.

Ya, it's a good "can have more than one" style Stout. Nice roasted coffee notes, decent body, but isn't a "4 pack and need a cab to get home" which I find with most craft beers.

Ipswich is a solid local brewer that does not chase the fads of the moment. Be curious to read your impressions as I know you like Guinness as do I.
