It was! I actually thought it sounded kind of gross but SteelCity Ken convinced me to try it and it was amazing!

I tried a peanut butter stout at a homebrew competition a few weeks ago and it was amazing. There was over 100 beers to try but I just wanted to keep drinking that one. I imagine a chocolate peanut butter stout is even better, I will be on the lookout!

Good stuff. Have had a brew from Lagunitas I didn't like.

You know, I feel more that way about Stone.
From Lagunitas, Hop Stoopid is by far my favorite I've had. WTF is pretty good but there are plenty of other beers I would reach for first. Sumpin Sumpin was just ok. Think I had one other - maybe Pils, which as you can tell didn't leave much impression. Wish I had tried Sucks, from what everyone said. |

Anyone near Santa Rosa, CA? Beatification is still available at RR and I am very much ISO.

Had this a couple nights ago:
![]() Both the wife and I really liked it. A nice smoky baconness with a nice sweet maple syrupy flavor. Not too heavy on either one, but it definitely worked for us. Glad we have a few bottles of it. I think we need to get more.

Tonight, Maximus is pretty awesome. Much better than WTF
![]() Shipyard Applehead, on the other hand, was pretty awful. Poured out half the bottle. Was expecting something interesting - their pumpkinhead is one of the best pumpkin beers I've had. Applehead was too sweet and spiced. Like drinking supermarket (too sweet) apple pie. |

Big fan of the Lagunitas Maximus.
Having some Ale Asylum Ballistic. Gotta make room to pick up some Ale Asylum Bedlam.
