That is what I read but I hear they fail rather frequently.

I actaully just found a recipe for imitating Starbucks Frap, they recommend using chocolate pudding mix to replace starbucks "Secret Base". I can't wait to try this! Consistency is the issue I have been dealing with and the pudding is supposed to make it the same consistency as Starbucks. It may not have been a blender problem after all!

Can't argue that. On my second one, first lasted about a year and a half. Mostly use it for fruit smoothies and the occasional frozen cocktail for the wife but it does well with blended coffee.
