Drip filters (typically) through a disposable coffee filter, french press filters (typically) through a metal screen. French press is more of a coarse grind than drip to prevent material from passing through the screen.

thanks Shane, I think I am gonna take the plunge and order this Peanut butter coffee + look oat maybe 1 or 2 more
