The Cocktail Thread- Shaken or Stirred?

How about a classic, Havana style Daiquiri?
Strawberries and slushee machines need not apply.

3oz Light or Dark Rum (I prefer a dark, aged rum. Brugal Añejo is great for mixing)
1.5oz Fresh lime juice.
1/2 oz simple syrup (a 1/1 solution of granulated sugar dissolved in water)
Shake with ice.
Serve in a chilled Old Fashioned Glass.
Best consumed while reading Hemingway and smoking an ISOM.
