I appreciate the info as people on open networks are at risk, the flaw is in authentication from server to device. Where you will have a problem is if for instance you are in starbucks and are using public wifi, then yes someone can "slip in" between you and the server and can steal or modify emails or any information being sent. Avoid using safari, as for now it is the only browser affected. Apple mail is also vulnerable.

I don't doubt him at all but why not use safari or use public wifi ? Just update your device so you can use all the features and be secure. That is all I am saying. I posted this just to help the brothers and sisters out here. I know the severity of this security issue and that is why it is such a big deal. If you don't trust me do some research and you will see just how serious this is.
