I just picked up a box of DPG Black Perlas...
...from 2007. At least that's what the date stamp on the bottom says. I'm going to smoke one in a little while. Looks and smells promising.

Well, it was very woody with a white pepper spice. The black pepper blast that many Pepins have initially is completely gone. There was a very slight sweetness and a dry texture to the smoke. shilala would say it's like smoking a spicy newspaper but I like it.

Great smokes! It's handy how DPG puts factory and date codes on his boxes. Otherwise I'd knock him for imitating. But the cigars are good!
