Seriously folks I just had to share. I had to give my big black cat a bath. I figured if I did that it'd keep her hair from matting. I unfortunately made the mistake of using human shampoo on her. Her hair suddenly became matted. After cutting out the umpteenth hairball, I finally decided to throw in the towel and shave her.

Now let me preface with saying, do NOT try this at home, my cat is extremely docile and loving and even she was howling, sharling hissing and biting (although not very hard) There is a good reason professional groomers charge sixty dollars to do this. I think the next time I will just have a groomer do it. Fortunately for me, my cat does not hate me. I can do anything to her and she will be rubbing on my leg in two minutes like nothing ever happened.

The end result is one hilariously poodle shaved cat.

We usually do that to our Himalayan during the summer time. He is even skinnier and more pathetic looking than yours if you can believe that. We pay someone else to be the bad guy.

Never did that to one of our Himmies but we had to do that to a Main Coon Cat who got ring worm. He looked pathetic shaven.

Just as an aside, if anyone wants to do this, please get a professional clippers thats made for animals. Shaving this cat cost me a "Wahl Animal Groomer" and a regular pair of electric clippers recommended by a groomer. Burned out the motors on both of mine.
