Actually though, I may still come off some cash and get two bottles, but the Eagle Rare was out of my league when I visited the cheap store the other day. I may end up getting one of those cheap bottles that no one can believe is good. Might be something else, Old Fitz or similar.

I don't know if I saw right, but the Eagle rare at Buster's was 90-something a bottle and the Rare breed was under 60.
Maybe it was an older bottle of ER. Don't they bottle by year? By the way, Brian, looking forward to tasting that Pappy
stuff. The 4 Roses, too. Hell I am just excited about the Shack in general, lol.

There's Eagle Rare 10 which can be found for between $20-$30 and then there's Eagle Rare 17 ($75-$90) which is a limited edition that comes out once a year as part of Buffalo Trace's Antique Collection.

That is not to say I won't show up with a bottle of it if the list never gets any. I am just shockingly broke right now. Ever notice how some people all think a three payday month is some kind of windfall, but people with experience know you are NEVER broker than after a three payday month. I have a large cushion and all, don't leave home without it, but my allowance that I give to myself is long since spent. Damn Diplomaticos #5 onsale.

BTW, I have seen people on the bourbon thread with both, and I guess they are both good anyway. But is this one of the whiskeys that people say, 10 is as good as 17? You know how some superaged liquors aren't always better for the money? (BTW, I think I also know the answer to this one, lol.)
