Sox dealt Kotsay to the White Sox for Brian Anderson. Don't know why they would want that whiner lol.

Brian Anderson has never lived up to his potential. What the hell are the Sox gonna do with him? At least with Kotsay, you had a reliable bat and the veteran presence....with Anderson, you get a unproven, .240 hitter with some speed.

Kotsay would have been outright released, the Sox would be happy to get anything they could.
