I use a program called Handbrake. Dunno if there's a Mac version though.
Also, in Linux, I use a program called Thoggen DVD Ripper.

I don't use a mac, but you can try Handbrake if that doesn't work.
http://handbrake.fr/details.php I believe it is pretty much what you are looking for. Will take a DVD source and extract it to a .mp4 (Quicktime) |
