I have some of Scott's beads and have noticed some of the beads do come out, but it's very minimal. Actually if memory serves I asked Scott about it and he agreed that they will slough off a small amount over time.

One of the seems split open on one of my bads, that certainly did help but I closed it back up with a little lighter and some melted nylon.

This happened to one of mine as well. My 1yr old daughter got ahold of it.
I used an iron to re-seal it.
