Default Re: Wanting a new lighter

For a few years, I had used the Zippo blu. At $60, it was good, however, I found the flint wheel to heat up very quickly.

I switched over to the Xikar Aria and at $69.99 the two-jet set up works exceptionally well. I particularly like the fact the thumb actuator is on the side, away from the heat source.

Right at the $100 price point is the Xikar Trezo. Same design at the Aria, but larger with 3 jets and a bigger tank. A friend of mine gifted one to me. Have to say I think the 3 jets are a bit much. I think I could roast a small pig with the heat it gives off.

I would suggest, regardless of the lighter, to check out Vector Quintuplus Refined Premium Butane Gas. I've found it to be a very clean burning fuel (no particulate buildup and no after-smell) with a great price point of around $6.55 for a 320 ml can.
