Thanks for all the comments I appreciate it to say the least.

I bought a house so I am locked into this area and the market is not so good yet. I am hoping to get a nice simple GS-4/5 (civilian) job on base and just enjoy life.

It was in my plans to retire 1 to 2 years after I got back and bought a house.
I had an epiphany last novemeber. If I retireand get that GS4/5 job I will be working a tenth as hard and making at least the same $$$. Time was right.
