there's a nifty button called print screen, push that, then go to start then run, and type in mspaint, hit ok, push ctrl v *both together* it'll paste your screen... then select the pic, hit ctrl x to cut it out, then ctrl n to get a new screen, hit n you dont' want to save, then ctrl v to paste the image, then ctrl s to save. go to say photobucket or imageshack and you can upload there.

Or just use the Save option (image of an old floppy disk) and then upload that image.

I normally use FireFox and it wouldn't save for me either. I booted it up in Exploder and it saved fine, which is good because I can't get PRTSCR to work on my laptop.
