rate this burr grinder

It will work fine for drip, maybe light press, but nothing else.

was looking to get my espresso machine up and running, just a small Krups one

You always want the best grinder you can afford. That said, I guess I would say that that grinder would work ok, just because your machine won't get you much to begin with even with a better grinder

Maybe look at the Baratza Maestro. It's a $100.
