Default Re: So, I thought about doing the cash for clunker

This almost makes blood shoot out my eyes! Why the hell are they scraping these vehicles? Aren't there people out there that are loosing their vehicles because they have lost they're job and can't afford the payments? How are they supposed to get to work when they get a job? What about the lower income families that don't need a new car but need a reliable vehicle? I'm 26 and up until a year a go I didn't drive a care that I paid more than $3000 for, and none of those were "clunkers". That means that if the people that I bought those cars from could have traded it in for 4500 even though they were only worth between $2,000 and $3000 I would have had to either pay more for a car or not gone to work, and school.

Instead the program should have been to donate your car to one of the charities that auction them off, the Gov't could give a tax refund up to a certain amount that could be used either for a new car, or a good used car, or spent however someone wanted to like making a couple extra payments on a house or pay down a credit card bill, you know smart thing like that.

OH no, you are mistaken. The economy is fixed, I heard the President say so Wednesday night. It must be a mistake with the finance company or something if anyone is losing their vehicles now. They should probably just call and get it straightened out

You are correct, sir. I pointed that out last night to a friend who has been looking for a job for six months. (IT director and project manager for a fortune 500 that sent everything overseas). The economy is all fixed and the fact that he can not find employment is all his fault because he wishes to make more than minimum wage. The President said so.
